Chelating Crystarose FF Resin
classification:6xHis tag protein purification packing
Product Overview
Metal chelation affinity chromatography, also known as fixed metal ion affinity chromatography, is based on the principle that certain amino acids on the surface of proteins, such as histidine, can form special interactions with various transition metal ions such as Cu²⁺, Zn²⁺, Ni²⁺, and Co²⁺. This principle can be used to adsorb proteins rich in these amino acids, thereby achieving the purpose of separation. For this reason, agarose gels conjugated with these metal ions can selectively separate proteins containing multiple amino acids, as well as peptides, proteins, and nucleotides that exhibit metal ion adsorption properties. Cysteine and tryptophan can also bind to immobilized metal ions, but this binding is significantly weaker than the binding strength between histidine residues and metal ions.
Chelating Crystarose resin is a resin without pre-chelated metal ions, allowing customers to chelate different metal ions as needed for protein purification. The resin’s features include: high loading capacity, fast flow rate, and high protein binding efficiency.
Characteristics:
1. Pre-chelated metal ion chromatography resin (Chelating), convenient to use;
2. Can be repeatedly chelated with multiple metal ions as needed;
3. Stronger protein binding, suitable for purifying His-tagged proteins with weaker binding;
4. When used with our dedicated sample diluent, adsorption efficiency is significantly improved;
5. High loading capacity and fast flow rate, with slight ion leakage.
6. Commonly used industrial-grade Ni column purification media, easy to use and cost-effective.
